This Privacy Policy explains what information IQ Race ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. IQ Race is a brain-training reaction game where players match colors against the clock and compete on leaderboards.
Information we collect
- Player profile: the nickname and avatar you choose inside the app.
- Gameplay data: scores, reaction times, and progress, used to power leaderboards and challenges.
- Device / anonymous identifier: a randomly generated ID used to recognize your account between sessions, even if you don't create a traditional login.
- Facebook information (optional): if you choose to share your score or invite friends via Facebook, we receive the basic profile information and friend list permissions you approve at that time. IQ Race never posts on your behalf without your action.
- Basic usage analytics: aggregated, anonymized information about how the app is used (such as crash reports and feature usage), used to fix bugs and improve the game.
How we use this information
- To operate weekly leaderboards, friend challenges, and battle rooms.
- To show your chosen avatar and title (such as the current #1 crown) to other players.
- To keep the app configured correctly and roll out fixes and new content remotely.
- To understand, in aggregate, which features are used and where the app can be improved.
Third-party services
IQ Race uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Google Firebase — for storing leaderboard data, friend/room data, and remote configuration. See Google's Firebase privacy information.
- Facebook SDK — used only for the optional share and invite-friends features. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
Data retention and deletion
We keep gameplay data for as long as your player profile is active so that leaderboards and progress work correctly. You can request deletion of your player data at any time by contacting us at the email below.
Children's privacy
IQ Race is a general-audience puzzle game and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the anonymous gameplay data described above. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information beyond this, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
